FOREWORD
Why This Document Exists
This document exists because I have realised a problem that directly
conflicts with the interests of the LuluC Cultural Revolution.
A significant portion of LuluC's backlash in the western fandom does
not stem from the ship itself. It stems from the conduct of its
fans.
That is a major problem, and its one that I will not ignore.
"I'm honestly getting so fed up with CluClu shippers.. I follow this really good
Suzalulu editor on TT and the comments are always always about CCLulu. I
had just told a CluClu fan to mind their business and let us have our ship and
they can have theirs but it's like one ear out the other.."
- A anonymouys gimmick from @Holy_Requiem on twitters strawpage.
Shout out to you anon, I am writing this for you and anyone else
who has been hurt my dumbasses on the net. <3
Additionally, I also was made aware of this recently after sharing
part of my manifesto to the Cs world Discord Server:
"Sending gore to someone for shipping SuzaLulu isn't exactly behaviour that
gives you a good impression of the ship." @spinoinwonderland from Cs

WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A REVOLULUC MARI C.C.
There are people who do not know basic fandom etiquette, or simply
do not know how to act right online, and they are creating a deeply
negative image for all of us. There are LuluC fans who are kind,
creative, and genuine joys to the community that are being lumped in
with these people who harass others. LuluC fans who build, who
create, who love this ship with sincerity and intelligence are
being tainted by association with people who send gore into
strangers' comment sections.
This will not stand.
I manage and maintain the Revoluluc website. I am one of the most
active LuluC fans in the English-speaking side of this fandom.
Whether I asked for it or not, my conduct and the conduct of people
associated with this community reflects on the ship. And the ship
deserves better than what some of us are currently giving it.
This document is a call for a new era. It is a guide. It is a
standard. And it applies to everyone who calls themselves a
Revoluluc and frankly, to everyone in this fandom regardless of
what they ship.
So, either act correct, or get out of the fucking way.
Be better.
Stop the wars and let us all be kinder, more enjoyable people to be
around. :3

WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A REVOLULUC MARI C.C.
ABOUT
Who Is Mari C.C.?
My name is Marshall. Most people know me as Mari, or Mari C.C. I use
he/they pronouns. I am an animation student, a digital artist, a
visual novel developer, and a proud libertarian socialist. I am
Ghanaian, and I live in England.
I am, without question or competition, C.C.'s number one fan. I have
two shrines dedicated to her. I have been in this fandom since
August 2025. I run the Revoluluc website a western LuluC archive
featuring a creator directory, the C.C. Visual Archive, a reading
list, and a growing body of critical essays about Code Geass. But by
now you probably already know this.
What you also know is that I love LuluC. But what I love more than
LuluC is community. I love what fandom can be when it is functioning
as it should a space where people who care deeply about the same
things find each other, create together, and build something that
outlasts any individual contribution.
That is what I am trying to build with the Revoluluc project. But it
cannot happen if we are breeding fear and mistrust within the
fandom. It cannot happen if people associate our ship with
harassment and cruelty.
I have met some of the most wonderful people
in this fandom. Some of them ship Suzalulu.
Some of them ship things I have never heard
of. A ship does not dissolve someone of their
personhood; we are all worth getting to know
regardless of it.
Thus, this guide comes from that very belief.
I am not writing it from above; I am writing
it as someone who loves this community and
wants it to be worthy of the ship at its
centre.

WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A REVOLULUC MARI C.C.
SECTION ONE
What Is A Revoluluc?
To be a RevoluluC is to be someone who does something more than just
ship Lelouch and C.C. together. Thats a Cluclu shipper and there
nothing wrong with that. But a RevoluluC is something more specific
more demanding.
To be a RevoluluC is to be someone who loves LuluC enough to build for it, to
create for it, to analyse it and live and breathe every single day. Someone
who understands it as a culture rather than just a ship. A way of life almost.
A RevoluluC is the type of person that understands that LuluC is in
a content drought within the western fandom. They understand the
fact that this drought is not because the shipper is lesser or
"problematic" but is because the content economy around Code Geass
has incentivised other things.
Thus, rather than blaming other fans for the wickedness of
capitalism, they do something about it. They create, they submit to
the archive, they write fanfiction and make tiktok edits. They write
analysis pieces. They draw fanart, they translate Japanese content
into other languages to spread the notion. They are active, and by
being active they help build the infrastructure necessary to making
the community visible to itself.
A RevoluluC is the type of person that understands the history of
the ship - especially the hard work the Japanese’s fandom and their
7

WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A REVOLULUC MARI C.C.
2 decades of devotion, the various names it has been given across
the globe and its disappearance from western spaces. Not only do
they carry that history with respect but they also attempt to
maintain its presence and it's future. They welcome new fans, they
are open minded to those who haven’t watched the show ten times
over, or have read the oldest niche. We don’t deem people as larps
(as long as they aren't stealing content from each other - fuck your
semi-toxic discord servers). A RevoluluC would welcome these fans
with open arms regardless if they had seen the show a week ago or 10
years ago. Because even that is enough.
A RevoluluC disagrees with other fans, this includes fellow LuluC
fans. And they do it without making it personal.
Why?
Well, it's because this fandom is not a court. Nobody needs to be
destroyed for having a different reading of the show. And if you
cannot accept that - pack your shit and leave we don’t want you
here.
And most importantly, a LuluC is the type of person who understands
that this cultural revolution is built on love. Not spite, not hate
for other ships. Not on territory defended against outsiders. We
reject right-wing populism.
This Revolution is built on the backs of people who are genuine.
People who hold genuine, embarrassing, shrine-bearing love for C.C.
and Lelouch and what they represent.
Thus, if you are trying to join this movement because you hate
Suzalulu, Kalulu, Shirlulu or any other ship, not only do you have
the wrong motivation but you are also washed. We are leaving you
behind in the revolution.
Come back when you love LuluC instead.

SECTION TWO
The Problem And Why It Cannot Stand
Let's be frank, let's be Lampard.
Let's not beat around the bush.
Some LuluC fans have behaved appallingly online. As mentioned prior,
going into Suzalulu creator's comment sections to start arguments,
dismissing or talking over queer fans who relationship to this
fandom is different from ours. And in extreme cases - yes extreme -
sending harassment to people for shipping something different. This
is not revolutionary behaviour; this is not behaviour you will find
in a RevoluluC. This is incredibly embarrassing, abhorrent and
entirely counterproductive.
By you acting like a dickhead in someone else's comment section, you
actively destroy everything that we are trying to build. How are we
going to fill the content drought if no one trusts us to be in the
fandom in the first place?
Its as simple as this:
Every time a LuluC fan harasses another fan, not only is this incredibly
harmful to that other fan but it also becomes evidence that our ship attracts
a certain kind of person. That evidence gets used to dismiss the ship itself and
the other members of the community who are trying to build something
beautiful. You are making C.C. look bad. You are making Lelouch look bad.
You are making all of us look bad.
Stop it.
9

WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A REVOLULUC MARI C.C.
The content drought we are waging war against is not caused by
Suzalulu shippers. It is caused by the content economy. We must
remember that Code Geass is a business, a franchise, and due to the
constant flow of time - is starting to lose its footing in the
western world. Algorithmic feedback loops did this. Fighting over
fans does not address this, we must create content instead.
Furthermore - and I mean this with my whole chest - the harassment
of queer fans is especially unacceptable. Some of us are queer. I am
a transgender man. Some Suzalulu fans are queer. Being a Luluc fan
does not make us any more or less valid in the fandom.
This is because having a ship preference does not equate to a moral
heirachy. The damage to LuLuC's reputation is real and it must stop,
because it harms all of us.

WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A REVOLULUC MARI C.C.
SECTION THREE
The Eight Principles of a Revoluluc
These are absolutely, completely undeniable. These are not
suggestions, if you do not follow this with your heart we will not
claim you as one opf our own. This 8 principles define what it means
to be a member of this revolution. If you cannot meet them we will
be leaving you behind you don’t get to call yourself a RevoluluC.
You are just washed.
01. Build, Don't Fight
Your time and your energy belong in creation. Those hours you are
spending flaming someones comment section are hours you could spend
on fanart, fanfics, analysis, translations, edits, fan games the
list is endless. If you got something to say about another ship,
keep it to yourself and hit the drawing board.
02. Critique the System, Not the Shipper
LuLuc is not as popular as it used to be, its ao3 tag is dry the
fanart has not been coming the edits don’t hit like they used to. We
know this. Its legitimate to examine the how the algorithimic
feedback loops and content economy dynamic have pretty much killed
the ship in western countries. You know what’s not legitimate
though? Taking this notion and aiming it directly at the heads of
Suzalulu and other non LuluC fans as if they are the ones who have
personally caused the problem. They did not, the system did. And in
like real political thought, you must attack the system and not
scapegoat.
11

WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A REVOLULUC MARI C.C.
03. Mind Your Business, completely.
If you do not have something constructive to add to a conversation,
do not add it. If someone is creating content for a ship you do not
like, scroll. If you disagree with a reading of a character,
disagree respectfully or do not engage at all. The comment section
of a Suzalulu creator is not your platform. You were not invited.
Leave.
04. Represent With Dignity
Whether you asked to be or not, whether you like it or not, you are
a representative of this ship. Every public interaction you conduct
as an open LuluC fan is seen by both people who do not know the ship
and people who do. Every act of harassment, dismissive content and
pile on makes firsts impressions. These are the first impressions
that build the external identity of a LuluC fan.
Act correct. Make us worth meeting, because a lot of us are actually
great people.
05. Coexist Actively
We must coexist. This is non-negotiable. Coexistence is not passive,
its not just refraining from harassment (which in of itself is the
bare minimum). What it is, is the active building of a fandom where
multiple ships and readings can thrive and interact simultaneously.
You will signal boost work you enjoy from other sides for the
fandom. You will engage with fans who love different things. We must
build bridges.
And I promise you, the fandom is much funner when all it’s ships
have a room.
12
WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A REVOLULUC MARI C.C.
06. Welcome New Fans
Someone who just watched Code Geass and felt something about C.C.
and Lelouch deserves a warm welcome, not a quiz on their fandom
credentials. Not everyone arrives knowing the history of the ship,
the Japanese fandom, the content drought. Calling people poses don’t
do anything. We will welcome them with open arms. Because thats
what a revoluluC does!
07. Credit and Honour Japanese Creators
The only reason why LuluC isnt dead in the ground is because the
most devoted artists are in Japan. From @Creayus, to @io_ion_mall,
@Okeseric the list can go on and on and on. These goats have been
keeping the ship alive for 20 years. Thus, when you share their
work, you must credit them. When you encounter Japanese LuluC
content, do not strip it of attribution. If you see someone else do
that, credit the artist for them, make their work known. The Western
revival of LuluC stands on the shoulders of dedicated creators from
the Japanese fandoms, the patriots never gave up on the ship, and we
will honour that.
13
WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A REVOLULUC MARI C.C.
08. Got Nothing Nice to Say Shut up and Move On
This is the last and genuinely simplest one, but it feels like the
hardest, doesnt it? If what you are going to say is not
constructive, kind, useful or necessary- dont say it. Fun fact, you
actually aren’t obliged to respond to every provocation, or
obligated to correct every wrong opinion. I know you want too; it’s
a feeling I know all too well but I promise you I will not get you
anywhere. You aren’t obligated to engage in bad faith, close the
tab, touch grass and return when you have something worth
contributing.

14
WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A REVOLULUC MARI C.C.
SECTION FOUR
On Coexistence Suzalulu and Every Other
Ship
Let me say this clearly and without ambiguity: this document applies
to Suzalulu fans too.
If you are a Suzalulu fan calling C.C. a paedophile in TikTok
comment sections this is for you. If you are going out of your way
to dismiss or mock LuluC content this is for you. If you have ever
told a LuluC fan that their ship is invalid, out of character, or
wrong this is for you.
Coexistence is not a one-way street.
This document is universal; Id imagine the traits in a RevoluluC is
something you would want to see in any other member of the fandom. A
Suzaloution if you will. (Nice one Mari)
This applies to Suzalulu fans, Kalulu fans, Shirlulu fans man
pretty much everyone. I am only focusing mainly on Suzalulu fans
because thats the largest ship in the fandom and is rival ship of
LuluC (which I think is dumb btw.)
If you are a Suzalulu fan calling C.C. a paedophile in TikTok posts
and comment sections this is for you. Ive seen you. If you are
going out of your way to provoke LuluC shippers, mock luluC content,
I’ve seen you and this is for you. If you have ever felt the need to
tell a LuluC fan that the ship is invalid, out of character. That
they watched the show with their eyes closed if they see a romatic
connection between C.C. and Lelouch.
I have seen you and this document is also for you.
I have watched someone willing provoke LuluC fans and cause a
completely avoidable and unnecessary argument in their TikTok
comment section for what reason? Why must you actively create ship
15

WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A REVOLULUC MARI C.C.
wars? There is no need and it will only have you at the end of the
day.
Respect and Love and Kindness go both ways, if any one from any side
is spreading hate you are washed and you need to do better.
The goal of the LuluC Cultural Revolution is not the destruction of Suzalulu.
It is the creation of a western fandom where LuluC has the space, the
content, and the community it deserves alongside every other ship, not
instead of them.
A lot of the people who have supported this site, supported me, talk
to me, compliment my art, been my friend are Suzalulu shippers. Ive
met some beautiful, brilliant, generous souls who are deeply
thoughtful about this work that have brought us all together. The
deph of love and adoration that Suzalulu shippers have for their
ship is genuine and its inspiring. None of this will ever be in
conflict with LuluC. Both can exist, and through our revolution both
will exist. Because both should exist.
What cannot exist on either side is harassment, what cannot exist is
the dismissal of queer voices. Not only those whose queerness is
expressed through queer ships but those who are also expressed
through het ones. I will not let ignorance and bad faith
generalizations decide what genre of ships deserve to have serious
engagement.
Through this revolution, we are building something. And we are
building something beautiful. Come build with us, or stay out of the
fucking way.
✦ ✦ ✦
16
WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A REVOLULUC MARI C.C.
SECTION FIVE
The New Era What We Are Building
The LuluC Cultural Revolution is a passion project amongst other
things, and I am really glad I have a lot of people helping me make
this a reality. So far this is what we have built:
The Revoluluc Website
revoluluc.neocities.org a western LuluC archive updated every
Friday. The Creator Directory documents western LuluC fans and makes
the community visible to itself. The C.C. Visual Archive catalogues
every outfit she has ever worn with analysis. The LuluC Library is a
community-submitted reading list of fanfiction and essays. This is
akin to a nation having a home. A decentralized website without
algorithms or ads purely deadicated to LuluC archival.
The Manifesto
A full theoretical and political case for LuluC drawing on
Gramsci, Butler, Anderson, Fanon, and more. A founding document for
the ship's western resurgence. Drafting begins summer 2025.
Code Geass: BloodStained Symphony
A LuluC vampire AU visual novel in active development by Lobster
Trilogy game studio. An episodic eroge following Lelouch as he
slowly becomes sucked into the world of Vampire Politics through the
help of one kuudere green-haired girl. Acts 13 targeting September
2025. This is the most ambitious LuluC fan project in the western
fandom developed by 3 incredibly autistic teenagers.
The Think Piece Series
A growing body of Code Geass criticism from a socialist, queer, and
analytically rigorous perspective. Your Goat Is Washed is live. Is
Lelouch a Marxist or a Fraud? is in development. The Witch and the
Mascot on C.C., Cheese-Kun, and Marx is coming. More to follow.
17

WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A REVOLULUC MARI C.C.
Through stuff like this, it illustrates what being a RevoluluC is all about, not
beef in comment sections. Actual, real things that fans like me and you can
engage in and enjoy <3
The content drought will end when we end it. And that will only
happen not through demanding that others make less content for their
ship but by making more content for ours. Dont steal don’t fight,
do it yourself. This is the only strategy that is worth our time.
And I say to you, as LuluCs self-prescribed representative on
English speaking Code Geass twitter:
Every piece of content created is a vote for the LuluCs nations
existence. Every kind hand extended to a new fan. Every submission
to the archive, every fanart drawn, every fic and essay written no
matter how poorly. Is a vote for LuluC to continue existing in a way
that we love and adore.
Lulu till I decay.

WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A REVOLULUC MARI C.C.
CLOSING
A Final Word from Mari C.C.
I wrote this document because I love this ship and I love this
community or rather, I love what this community can be.
I am not perfect. I have not always handled fandom with the grace
this document calls for. I am learning. We are all learning. The
point is not to be perfect but to be better than we were yesterday.
LuluC gave me things I did not know I needed. Gender euphoria. A
language for the kind of love I wanted to understand. A community of
people who felt the same things I felt. I do not want to be the kind
of fan who poisons that for someone else.
So, I am asking as someone who genuinely cares about all of this —
be kind. Create things. Welcome
people. Disagree without cruelty. Love
the ship loudly and the people around
you gently.
That is what being a Revoluluc is.
That is what this revolution is for.
VIVA LA REVOLULUC!!!
luluc till i decay.
